M&T Bank Opens Interim Branch At Midway Shopping Center
January 25, 2000
The M&T branch was one of 16 businesses damaged by the fire, but is among the first to reopen at the site.
Scheduled to open on Wednesday, January 26, the new M&T branch occupies approximately 1,300 square feet of space in a separate building that was not damaged by the fire on the south side of the plaza property. The interim branch is located at 1016 Wyoming Avenue, Midway Shopping Center, Store 21E, Wyoming, PA 18644.
The temporary facility will provide many of the same features and amenities of a permanent branch office, including three teller windows and three customer service desks.
"Since the fire at Midway, our top priority has been to minimize any disruption of service or convenience to our valued customers," said M&T Wilkes-Barre region president, Scott Dagenais. "On behalf of everyone at M&T Bank, we thank our customers for their patience during this time."
M&T continues to work with the plaza's landlord to reopen a permanent facility in the Midway Shopping Center. Until M&T's permanent branch reopens, the temporary branch will be open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 noon. The telephone number at the temporary branch is (570) 693-0314 and the fax number is (570) 693-4742.
